William “Bill” Youngblood died unexpectedly at his home in Gainesville, GA on April 30, 2024.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa “Terry,” son Bryan, daughter Elizabeth (James), and grandchildren Harrison and Kaitlyn, stepson Stephen, stepdaughter Ashley (Matthew), his brother F. Marcus “Marc” Youngblood, sister Elizabeth “Beth” Griffin (Tom), and nieces Ellie, Katie, and Susie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Vernon Youngblood, and sister Jane.
Bill was a true Southern Gentleman. He was born August 23, 1957 and raised in Concord, North Carolina. He graduated from N.C. State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, where he was a member of Sigma Chi. He later earned his MBA from Duke University. His love for engineering and sales led his career at Siemens (Regional Sales Manager) and Actuant Corporation (Regional Manager). A personal desire to own a business led him to open a Right at Home care company in Gainesville. He especially loved helping people care for their loved ones at home.
He loved boating on Lake Lanier, riding his motorcycle through the North Georgia mountains, reading historical books, and traveling with his wife, Terry. He was honored to serve as an Elder at First Presbyterian church, Gainesville, and his celebration of life service will be held there Thursday, May 9th at 11am.
His final resting place will be at Memorial Garden in Concord, North Carolina. A service will be held at Memorial Garden at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 15, 2024. The family will greet friends following the service.
May he rest in eternal peace, knowing that he was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
