Walter Zolna, Jr., 74, of Concord passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at CHS NorthEast with his loving wife and children by his side.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Wilkinson Funeral Home. A mass will be held at 11 am Saturday, March 25, 2017 at St. James the Greater Catholic Church with Father Jerome officiating.
Walter was born in Hamarville, Pennsylvania on September 1, 1942 to the late Walter and Margaret Karney Zolna.
He was a humble, selfless man full of love and kindness for all and will forever be known as a wonderful and devoted father, husband, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
Walter loved the outdoors and was a great sportsman, especially when it came to fishing. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Walter was a Veteran of the US Army National Guard and volunteered as a greeter at St. James Catholic Church.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Sandra Zolna; daughter, Denise Fitzgerald and husband Edward; son, Matthew Zolna; and two grandchildren, Noah and Zachary Fitzgerald; nieces, Mary Anne Wrona Cooper, Bernadette Wrona Traini, Theresa Wrona Traini, Veronica Wrona Bryan; nephew, Paul Wrona
