Mrs. Virginia “Alline” Stephens Foster Ingle, age 94 passed away Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Curis at Concord.
A service to celebrate her life will be held Thursday, August 15 at Crescent Heights Retirement Community at 3:30 pm with Pastor Mark McClamrock officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service.
Mrs. Ingle was born October 6, 1924 in Bono, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Charles E. Stephens and Levolia Puckett Stephens. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, George L. Foster, whom she married in 1956 and Alfred B. Ingle, whom she married in 1991, sisters, Wanda Neaville, Frances Brooks, and Audrey Pinner, and one brother, Chuck Stephens.
Virginia retired from Pontiac Motor Division in Pontiac, Michigan. She moved to Concord in 1999 and was a member of Concord ARP Church. She was a longtime member of the Eastern Star, the Red Hats Society and was a volunteer at the hospital. She was a lifetime member of the VFW and VFW National Home for children.
Left to cherish her memory is her brother, Kenneth Stephens of Matthews; nephew, Milton Brown and wife, Beulah, who was her caregiver, niece, Rebecca Hammett and husband, John of Concord, a number of other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, who live in NC and several other states.
