Mrs. Ursula Decker Rymer age 83 of Concord, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Atrium Health Cabarrus.
A graveside service will be on Monday, February 3rd at Poplar Tent Presbyterian Church Cemetery at 1pm with Rev. Bobby Tallent officiating. The family will speak to friends after the graveside service.
Mrs. Rymer was born December 31, 1941 in Cologna, Germany to Anton and Margaret Kuncelmann Decker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Fred C. Rymer, Jr. and her brother, Rick Tatem.
For many years, Ursula used her talent of sewing, to make beautiful clothes for the public. She also made military uniforms and gowns for civil war re-enactments. She designed and made some outfits for a couple of famous people in our area, which she was proud of. In later years, she became a crafter of many realms. She made wreaths, ornaments, etc... giving her great pleasure in sharing with her family and friends. Ursula truly loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and she was a devout online follower of Gethsemane Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and friend, who will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her sons, Fred C. Rymer III and wife Sandy of Concord, David Rymer and wife Caroline of Franklin, NC, and Robert Rymer and wife Janet of MN; grandchildren, Fred Rymer IV and wife Rebecca, Johnathon Rymer, Christopher Rymer and wife Kayla, Darren Rymer and wife Yumi, Daniel Rymer, Nicholle Truax, Charlie Rymer, and Samantha Rymer; great-grandchildren, Harmony, Easton, Canaan, Luca, Luna, and Evelyn; sister, Ann Dutch of Concord; and many extended family and friends.
Memorials may be made to Gethsemane Baptist Church, 480 Lloyd Garmon Lane, Concord, NC 28025.
