Tommy Fletcher

Tommy Wayne Fletcher, 80, of Concord, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Tucker Hospice House.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18, at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Keith Copeland. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Tommy was born on April 12, 1944, in Concord to the late James Odell Fletcher, Jr. and Ruth Hartsell Fletcher. He was also preceded in death by his son Jeff Fletcher and brother Johnny Fletcher.

Tommy graduated from Concord High School, Class of 1962, where he was an accomplished athlete, lettering in football and baseball. After graduation, he went to work for Law Engineering/ MACTEC as a field engineer, where he retired in 2009 after 45 years of service. He loved sports, and spent many years attending Carolina Panthers football games with his family. He was also an avid New York Yankees fan. Tommy loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with them and doing the things that made them happy.

Tommy is survived by his wife Libby Beasley Fletcher; sons Brandon Fletcher (Patti), and Aaron Fletcher (Diem); daughter-in-law Melissa Fletcher; grandchildren Hayden, Hailey, Elizabeth Kha, and Thomas; sister-in-law Judy Fletcher; and a number of extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association. The Fletcher family would also like to extend their gratitude to the Tucker Hospice House for their care for Tommy in his final days.
