Mr. Timothy Dale Parker “Tombstone Tim”, of Concord, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Atrium Health Cabarrus.
His body will lie in state on Tuesday, September 29 from 9 am to 4 pm at Wilkinson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 30 at 1 pm at Oakwood Cemetery.
Tim was born August 12, 1954 in Cleveland County to the late James Ray Parker and Margie Caskey Parker. He was owner and operator of Concord Monument Co. and Artisan Stone Works and was also a member of Cabarrus Masonic Lodge #720. Tim loved Concord and did a lot in the community. He gave properly to the Wesleyan church across the street from his house but was raised Baptist at Young Street Baptist Church. Tim worked really hard to grow his business into a name people knew all over this area. You can’t go far without running into someone who knows “Tombstone”. He was a lover of classic cars and owned and restored several. He loved beach music and could shag a little too. Tim loved his family and friends, especially his granddaughter. He was a great friend to so many and was someone you could count on whenever you needed him. All those who had the privilege of knowing “Tombstone Tim” Parker, will miss him dearly.
Tim is survived by wife, Donna Simmons Parker; sons, Shawn Parker and fiancée, Connie Cook, and Bradley Parker; granddaughter, Payton Parker, all of Concord; brother, Roger Caskey and wife, Sharon of Kannapolis; sister, Mona Howard and husband, Bryan of Rockwell; and a number of extended family and friends.
