Tim "Skinny" Aldridge

Mr. Timothy Allen Aldridge, of Concord, passed away surrounded by his loving family on his 61st birthday, September 24, 2023.

The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm on Thursday, September 28 at New Gilead Reformed Church. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm with Rev. Larry Bolick and Pastor Jeremy Churchill officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.

“Skinny” as he was known to so many, was born September 24, 1962 in Cabarrus County and was the son of the late George Atlas Aldridge, Jr. and Sarah Almon Starnes. He was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Angie Aldridge.

Prior to his diagnosis with Alzheimer’s disease, Skinny had worked as a crew leader for the City of Concord. He was a pillar in the community, knowing everybody, whether it was a short while, or forever. He had been an active member of New Gilead Reformed Church and helped with the annual BBQ fundraisers. Skinny also enjoyed hunting and playing softball. He was a farmer as well, helping families as far back as 3 generations. In the eyes of his family and friends, they will remember Skinny as being a loving family man, Christian, and a true friend. He will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Those left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 38 years, Jackie Aldridge; daughters, Ann Torrence (Justin), and Kimmie Williams (Bobby); son, Chris Aldridge (Amanda); grandchildren, Taylor, Jakob, Jarod, and Jordin Torrence, Porter Aldridge, McKinley, Kaydence, Cane, Haiven, Kashdyn, and Tyler Williams; sisters, Terri Norris (Steve), Toni Yow (Ray), Cissy Chavez (Julio), and Tammy Gray; brother, Theron Aldridge; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of loving relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank his caregiver, Shirley Starnes and hospice nurses, Jennifer and Beverly for their love and care given to Skinny.
