He was born in Washington, PA, to the late Margaret E. and Thomas Noyes Donaldson. He is survived by his sister, Margaret L. Emerson of Spencer, MA. He was preceded in death by his brother, John K. Donaldson.
Tom graduated from Warren Area High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State. After graduation, he worked for Osmose Utilities Services Company where he worked for more than 30 years. He then started his own utility pole inspection company, IFS, in North Carolina in 2004. He was a very sociable person and made friends everywhere he went. They rallied around him through his final illness and made it possible for him to remain at home.
There are no calling hours. A celebration of life will be held at a later time once arrangements and location are decided.
