Sylvia Annette Edelman Fowler Foster, 81, of Gold Hill, NC went to her heavenly home at 12:01pm on February 9, 2024 at Atrium Health Cabarrus after a period of extended illness.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Highest Praise Family Worship Center, 1700 Bostian Road, China Grove on Sunday, February 18th. The family will receive friends at 2:30pm and the service will begin at 3:30pm conducted by Pastor Robbie Crisp and Bishop John Lucas.
Sylvia was born on November 21, 1934 to the late Leonard Cox Eddleman and Julia Ruth Josey Eddleman. She attended Landis High School, later becoming a certified Natural Health Professional in 1998. She was employed at Connor Mills for 32 years, then owned and operated the Village Sweet Shop and Tim’s Sandwich Shop for 9 years. She worked part-time for Walgreens for 12 years and only recently fully retired from work.
Sylvia loved her family and enjoyed the company and companionship of her co-workers. She enjoyed making candy and cooking. She was an avid gardener and loved watching flowers she planted, grow and bloom. She had a big heart that was filled with love and was a fighter till the end. She often told others such things as, “I’m not giving up!” and “I’m tough!”
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Cox Eddleman and Julia Josey Eddleman; brothers, John Lewis Eddleman and Leonard Wayne Eddleman; sisters, Rosie Lee, Barrett Haithcock, Helen Morgan, Gladys Parker, Myrtle Haynes, Pat Weeden, and Lavinia Liles; former husband, Hugh Fowler; and children, Karen Elaine Fowler and Timothy Lloyd Fowler.
She is survived by children, Keith Allen Fowler of Olin, NC, Randy Dale (Gale) Fowler and Eric Scott Fowler all of China Grove, NC; nine grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
