Susie Wheeler

Ms. Susie Wheeler, age 79, passed away on January 9, 2025 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord, NC.

Susie was born in Gastonia, NC to Henry and Minnie Young.

Susie married Donald Wheeler of West Virginia on January 9, 1961 in York, SC.

She was preceded in death by Henry Young (Father), Minnie Young (Mother), Donald Wheeler (Husband), Kirk Carter (Son-in-law), Sam Wheeler (Father-in-law), Edith Wheeler (Mother-in-law), and Robert Young (Brother).

She is survived in death by Sherry Greene (Daughter), Tony Greene (Son-in-law), Patricia Carter (Daughter), Mark Wheeler (Son), Donald Wheeler Jr (Son), Sherry Wheeler (Daughter-in-law), Megean Greene (Granddaughter), Gabrielle Carter (Granddaughter), Casey Wheeler (Grandson), Jaiden McMillan (Great Grandson).

She loved spending her time working on puzzles and watching tv. She also enjoyed going shopping, eating good food and drinking coffee. She always looked forward to holiday get-togethers and family cook outs. Of all her activities, spending time with friends and family was her favorite thing to do.

Her family was always near and dear to her heart. Her goal in life was to always give them the best she could and to make sure they always remained close. She loved her family unconditionally.

In lieu of flowers and services the family asks that if you would like to support that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Susie's honor.

A celebration of life for Susie will be held on Sunday, January 26th from 2 to 4pm at Broadus Memorial Church.
