Shirley Ann Black

April 8, 1936 — April 29, 2019

Mrs. Shirley A. Black, 83 entered in to the gates of Heaven peacefully on Tuesday April 30, 2019 with family by her side.

Family will receive friends from 10 am until 11 am Saturday May 11, 2019 at Immanuel Baptist Church, 600 Spring St., Concord. A service to celebrate her life will follow at 11 am with pastor Terry Smith officiating.

Shirley was born April 8, 1936 to Myrtle and Walter Allman. She was proceeded in death by her beloved husband Elbert Clinton Black, and three sisters Helen Hart, Jean Shinn, and Frances Allison.

Shirley was a member of Immanuel Baptist church. She enjoyed life taking care of her home, children, and spending time with her life-long friends.

She is survived by her two sons Russell Scott Black, Mitchell Todd Black, wife Ashley Black and 7 grandchildren, Tyler (wife Emily), Noah, Nathaniel, Grace, Joseph, Aaron, and Gabriel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to the Alzheimer's Foundation, 4600 Park Rd #250, Charlotte, NC 28209, for others who are fighting the same fight she battled long and hard.
