Mr. Scott A. Davis, 61, of Cassatt, SC, transitioned from this world on Sunday, August 20, 2023, with his loving wife by his side at Levine & Dickson Hospice House. In accordance with Scott's wishes, no formal services will be held to remember him, allowing his memory to be cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Scott was born on October 13, 1961, in Biddeford, ME, to the late Emmaretta Carolyn Hamor Davis and Walter Elmore Davis, Sr. He is also preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister.
As a proud Veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, Scott served his country with honor and dedication. His journey in life took him down various paths, starting as a carpenter contributing to the construction of houses along the Outer Banks of NC. He then transitioned to a career as a truck driver for different companies, mastering the open road. Carpentry and working with his hands were his true passions, reflecting his dedication to craftsmanship and creation. Scott found solace and happiness in the outdoors, whether it was fishing, sitting by a warm fire, or simply enjoying nature's beauty. The holiday season, especially Christmas, held a special place in his heart, as he relished the opportunity to give and share the spirit of the season. Known for his generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand, Scott was quick to support those in need.
Scott's memory is carried on by his loving wife, Joanne C. Davis of Cassatt, SC. He is also survived by his daughter, Tonya Jewett, and her husband, Christopher, along with their children Jordain and C.J. of Sedgwick, ME, his daughter Jessica Davis and her children Christopher and Joshua Anderson of PA, and his son, Scott A. Davis Jr. and daughter Bella of the Outer Banks, NC. Sisters, Gail Barrios of Aberdeen, WA, and Mona Colton and her husband, Dave, and their son Jonathan of Pittsfield, VT, as well as Carlotta Perantoni and her husband, Jay, and their children Kassandra, Matteo, and Attilio of Barre, VT, will forever hold him close in their hearts. Additionally, Scott is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
