Sandra Matthews

Ms. Sandra Lee Manning Matthews, age 80 of Kannapolis, NC passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Atrium Health Cabarrus.

Sandra, better known as Sandy, Mom, Nonnie was born June 13, 1944 in Mecklenburg County and was a daughter of Bobbie and Senna Rollins Manning. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her six siblings, Jimmy, Bobbie Jr., Billy, Sadie, Patsy, and Jewell; granddaughter, Senna McCracken, grandson, Jonathon Sanders, and great-grandson, Justin Couch.

Sandy was raised in Charlotte and graduated from Harding High School. She retired from Merita Bakery after 30 years with the company. She grew up and remained a Baptist in faith.

Sandy is survived by her son, Buddy McCracken of Griffin, Georgia; daughters, DeLinda McCracken of Barnesville, Georgia, Trina Matthews of Kannapolis, NC, and stepdaughter, Pamela Howard of Manteca, California; grandchildren, Sandra, Rebecca, Erica, Melissa, Sheldon, Lauren, Matthew, Jessica, Ashton, and Brody; great-grandchildren, Courtney, Tristen, Lexie, Noah, Justice, Tyler, Elijah, Olivia, Grant, Malachi, Abigail, Gavin, Charlie, and Cooper; 1 great-great-grandchild, Rhyn.

A Service of Celebration for family and friends will be held at a later date.
