Our beloved and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Rudolph J. “Rudy” Ramdeen, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at his home, surrounded by family.
A visitation will be held for family and friends on Saturday, May 18, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Wilkinson Funeral Home in celebration of Rudy’s life. A service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, May 19, at 12:00 p.m., with cremation to follow. Services will be officiated by his son-in-law, Reverend Brian Bare.

Rudy was born on May 7, 1944, in Berbice, Guyana and was the son of the late David and Rajrani Ramdin. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Dukahni and Dwarka Persaud, and his sister, Yvonne Ramdeen.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Debbie Ramdeen; his daughters, Shalenee and husband Rajesh Nayak, Indra and husband Brian Bare; his beloved grandchildren, Claudia Bare and Joshua Bare; and his siblings, Mureen Persad, Jerry Ramdeen, Clement Ramdin, and Ahillia Pawaroo.
Rudy Ramdeen was a man of great strength, hardworking, and family-oriented. He loved to party with his friends and family, watch cricket matches, and he absolutely loved his wife’s homemade Guyanese food. Rudy is honored and loved by many, his legacy of generosity, strength, and zest for life will continue to live on.
