January 24, 1944 — October 25, 2022

Rosemary Fisher Goodman, 78, of Concord, died peacefully Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at The Landings of Cabarrus after a long battle with dementia.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life on Saturday, October 29 at Wilkinson Funeral Home in Concord. Receiving will be from 9:30-11a.m. followed by the service at 11a.m.
Interment of Rosemary’s ashes will take place at Oakwood Cemetery immediately after the service.

Rosemary was born January 24,1944, in Concord to the late John and Lois Fisher. She graduated from Concord High School in 1962 and Wingate College in 1964.

Rosemary began working at Concord High School in 1969 as front office secretary, then moved to the guidance office. After 37 years of service, she retired in 2007 as financial secretary.
Rosemary loved being involved as a “Spider.” She served CHS in many ways, including sponsoring Nu Phi Mu and the Science Club, coaching cheerleading, chaperoning school trips and organizing the Black and Gold Club tickets and seating.

Rosemary was very proud to be a breast cancer survivor. When she retired from CHS, her one request was to have a breast cancer walk each year to help raise money for those in need of financial assistance.

Rosemary loved traveling, shopping and family. Ocean Drive was her favorite destination. You could often find her scouring the beach for shells or listening to beach music at Fat Harolds. She also loved being a MiMi to her granddaughters.

Rosemary will be missed by everyone who knew her, especially her family. Rosemary is preceded in death by her longtime companion, Buddy Deal, and her former husband, Jim Goodman. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Goodman DiFoggio (Nick) of Concord and two granddaughters Caroline Disher (Ryan) of Concord and Catherine DiFoggio of Boone.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Humane Society of Cabarrus County, 2010 Wilshire Court SW, Concord, NC 28025 or the Coltrane LIFE Center, 321 Corban Ave. SE, Concord, NC 28025.
