Mr. Ronald Ross Burgess, 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Brookdale Senior Living in Concord, NC, surrounded by his family.

He was born on January 10, 1932, in Saratoga Springs, NY, to the late Ella Johnson Burgess and Roscoe Burgess.

Ron spent his formative years in Saratoga Springs, attending Saratoga Springs School K-12. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he served with dedication during the Korean War as a machinist on a destroyer.

Throughout his professional life, Ron held various roles, including selling life insurance, working as a salesman at Standard Furniture, serving as a longtime machinist at GE, and eventually owning a trailer park. In his leisure time, he found joy in playing pool/billiards, often impressing others with his skills, playing golf, and spending time camping in the Adirondack Mountains, a place he held dear to his heart. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting, embracing the outdoor activities that brought him peace and fulfillment.

Ron is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Barbara Elsie Burgess; his daughters, Corrine Denise Constantine and Laura Lee Drouin; his son Ronald (Randy) Ross Burgess Jr., and his beloved grandchildren Kristi, Matthew, Tracy, Terresa, Janel, Kenny, Kurtis and Erica; one sister.

Ron's legacy of love, strength, and resilience will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his unwavering spirit and zest for life.

As we honor Ron's memory, may we find solace in the cherished moments shared and the profound impact he had on all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
