On November 5, 2023, the world lost a beloved soul, Mr. Roger Alan Jordan, at the age of 62, unexpectedly at his home in Concord. Roger, a cherished son, brother, fiancé, and friend, brought joy and warmth to the lives of everyone he knew.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Oakwood Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Mike Culler. Following the service, friends and family are invited to gather, sharing stories and memories of Roger's vibrant life.
Roger was born on October 4, 1961, in Concord, NC, son of the late Richard M. Jordan. He was raised by his father and step-mom, Sue Jordan. He also held a special place in his heart for his grandparents Harry & Ruth Jordan. He was preceded in death by his father and his brothers, Richard Jordan II and Mark Tucker and also his grandparents.
Roger's love for fishing was a defining trait, and he found solace and joy in wetting a line whenever he could. He cherished these moments spent by the water, finding peace in the tranquility of nature. Beyond his passion for fishing, he deeply valued the time he spent with his family members, savoring the simple pleasures of life.
He is survived by his fiancée, Sherry Griffin, his ex-wife, Linda Sneed Jordan, his sisters, Chris J. Honeycutt and husband Rex, Donna Spears and husband Chip, and Wendy Measamer and husband Chad, and his brother, Steven Jordan. Roger's memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him and especially his little dog, Daisy.
As we mourn the loss of Roger Alan Jordan, let us remember him with smiles, for he brought immense joy to our lives.
