Robert Morris

Mr. Robert "Rob" Franklin Morris, 71, of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Poplar Tent Presbyterian Church Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Dr. Dave True.

Born on November 25, 1952, in Concord, NC, to the late Cornelia Vance Morris and Edward Z. Morris Sr., Rob was a proud graduate of Central Cabarrus High School, class of 1971, and went on to study at UNCC. He dedicated much of his career as a lab technician at Heritage Environmental, where he formed many cherished friendships. Rob had a profound love for the outdoors, whether he was gardening, mowing, or spending time at the beach. An avid Carolina Tarheels fan, he enjoyed cheering on his team through every season of football and basketball. Above all, Rob's greatest joy was his family, and he treasured every moment spent together.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Suzanne Linker Morris; his daughters, Casey Killough and husband Kevin, Mandy Watson and husband Jesse; his brother, Edward "Eddie" Z. Morris, Jr., and wife Karen; and his beloved grandchildren, Payton and Easton Watson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Poplar Tent Presbyterian Church, 6841 Poplar Tent Road, Concord, NC 28027, or to Hospice of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.

Rob will be dearly missed by all who knew him, and his memory will be treasured in the hearts of many.
