Mr. Robert Lee Ingram III, of Locust and better known to his family and friends as Robin, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 1, 2024 at the age of 66.
The family will receive friends at Mission Church in Locust on Saturday, March 9 from 12 to 2 pm. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2 pm with Pastor Jeremy Hyde officiating. A burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.
Robin was born August 14, 1957 in Guilford County and was the son of the late Robert Lee Ingram Jr. and Lance Barringer Ingram-Brown. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Barri Sullivan.
At a young age, Robin’s family moved to Cabarrus County when his dad took a new job. Robin was educated in Cabarrus County schools, having graduated in 1976 from Concord High School. He proudly served our country in the US Marine Corp and was a vending machine mechanic.
Robin enjoyed fishing, fresh and ocean water and was an avid NASCAR fan. He and his wife also took annual trips to Oak Island with friends. Robin was an active member of Mission Church, volunteering with the men’s group, and in various church activities. He was a great provider and had a great work ethic. He was dearly loved and will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.
Those left to cherish Robin’s memory are his loving wife of 39 years, Tina Pope Ingram; sister, Bonnie Christy; aunts, Pat Lee, Martha Lancaster and uncle, Robert E. Lee, all of High Point; 2 nieces, 5 nephews; 8 cousins; mother-in-law, Doris Pope; sister-in-law, Crystal Burress; brother-in-law, Dennis Pope and wife, Crystal; numerous other loving relatives and friends.
