Robert Anthony Dula, known to most as Tony, passed away peacefully at Tucker Hospice House on Sunday, June 23, 2024. He was a beloved father, husband, and a dedicated Marine Corp Veteran. He was 56 years old.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday, June 26 2024, at Wilkinson Funeral Home.
Born on April 18, 1968, in Randolph County. Tony was the son of the late Sandra Batson Auman and Landon Robert Dula. After high school graduation, Tony enlisted in the Marine Corp where he proudly served our Country for 8 years.
Upon completing his service, Tony held many distinct positions that allowed him to spend time living in Northport Florida and back here North Carolina. He had his own Tree Service Company that he worked in his spare time. One of his favorite jobs was being a heavy equipment operator for D.H Griffin the past few years.
Tony was truly happiest when he was outside with his hands in the dirt gardening, spending time riding his Harley or having a week of vacation at the beach with family. Tony never turned down a competitive game of cornhole where he will reign as the family champion.Tony would do anything to help a friend or family when needed. He was a giver and will truly be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Dawn Gerritsen Dula; children, Melissa A. Bergeron, David L. Bergeron, Jonathan K. Rodriguez and wife Carley, Landon C. Dula; sister, Lisa Dula Loflin and husband Lyndon; grandchildren, Tristan Shereshaw, Ava Bergeron, Kinsley Dula, Madeleine Dula; nephews Austin T. Sale, Matthew C. Chaney, Grayson B. Chaney and his wife Makayla; great nieces Ava Washington–Sale, Oaklynn Chaney.
