Mr. Richard William Petrea Sr., 93 of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Saturday January 1, 2022.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 4 from 11am-noon at Wilkinson Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 12 noon in the chapel of Wilkinson Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Patrick McCabe. Burial will follow at Bethel Bear Creek Church Cemetery.
Mr. Petrea was born September 21, 1928 in Cabarrus County to the late Lee and Mary Shoe Petrea. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Cozart Petrea, and son, William Petrea.
Mr. Petrea is survived by his daughter, Jane Hyleman and husband, Grover; brother, Holly Petrea; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
