Phyllis Ann Rhinehart, 85, of Concord, North Carolina passed away on November 16, 2019, at the Hospice House in Sherrills Ford, North Carolina.
She was born September 3, 1934, in Floyd County, Georgia, to the late Clara Herring. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Rhinehart, and her eldest daughter Paige Adams.
She was a graduate of Armurchee High School. She lived the earlier part of her life in Georgia and the later part in Concord, North Carolina.
She is survived by three children, Sharon Bowlin (Kelly), Tangie Russell, and Matthew Ginn. She is survived by seven grandchildren, Jennifer Moore, Stephen Adams, Megan Himes, Alison Himes, Brittani Russell, Preston Ruff, and Hannah Johnson, and five great grandchildren, Hayden Moore, Avery Moore, Chase Moore, Jasmine Fountain, and Arwin White.
She worked many years as a secretary and bookkeeper but her las work experience was at Concord Telephone in directory assistance. After her retirement she enjoyed volunteering at Concord First Assembly at the weekly Senior luncheon and also at her church New Hope Worship Center answering the phone when needed.
She attended and loved her church family at New Hope Worship Center after attending First Assembly for many years. When her illness made it where she could not go to church or the senior luncheon, her friends would come to her home to spend time with her, which she enjoyed immensely.
The family would like to thank Anita Sanford, her nurse, from Carolina Care (Hospice) for her care. The family would thank Annie Mullis, who served as her primary and daily caretaker for many months and during the most difficult times of her illness.
A celebration of life will he held on December 7, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Wilkinson Funeral Home in Concord, North Carolina. Pastor Dale Jenkins will officiate the service. The family will receive friends after the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the givers church or charity of
choice.
