Mrs. Peggy Bost Strube of Laverne Drive, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at NorthEast Medical Center.
Her funeral will be 1 PM Sunday at Kerr Street United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Chris Harbin. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 PM Saturday at Wilkinson Funeral Home.
Peggy was born November 2, 1931 in Cabarrus County to the late Lee Roy Bost and Beulah Haney Bost. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Richard “Pete” Strube. Peggy was a long-time beautician, and an active member of Kerr Street United Methodist Church. She enjoyed travelling and was a former member of the ECA Travel Club. Peggy was also a former “Red Hat” society member and was known for her cooking and her dumplings.
Peggy is survived by her daughter, Sherry Baker of York, SC; sons, Richard Strube and wife Jodie, and David Lee “Deacon” Strube and wife Cheryl, all of Concord; grandchildren, Samatha, Katelyn, Lacey, Jubal, Karlee, and Noah; brother, Jack Bost and wife Mary Lou “Butch” of Kannapolis; niece, LuLyn Jones and nephew Melton Bost and wife Debbie of Oregon; and great nephew Matthew Bost.
