Pasqual “Pat” Lazzaro, 61, of Concord, died on October 18, 2023 following a long and courageous fight with cancer.
A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held 11:00am Saturday October 28, 2023 at Trinity United Church of Christ in Concord. Rev. Nathan King will officiate. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery.
Pat was born in New York, NY on November 5, 1961 to Pasquale C. and Arlene Bannano Lazzaro. After living his entire life on Long Island, NY, Pat and his family made the move to North Carolina in 2020. He quickly made Concord his new home.
Pat was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He was very proud of being the first one in his family to earn a four-year college degree in Health Management. When he had trouble finding work in that field, he turned to his original love for marketing and sales. He worked for Acosta Merchandizing for over twenty years. He moved up in the company from sales representative to sales agent.
Besides his family, Pat’s biggest passion was for his beloved NY Yankees. He cheered and suffered every game. In every house we lived in there was always a room devoted to the Yankees. There he displayed the special memorabilia that he collected including a Yankee Christmas tree that stays up ALL year.
But even beyond the Yankees, Pat’s heart belonged to his family. His love for his wife and sons was evident every day. When Pat had the opportunity to stay home with his son, Steven, for Steven’s first year he jumped on it and forged a bond that can never be broken. He was also a loving father to Mark and a wonderful, loving husband to Debbie. In addition to his parents, Mr. Lazzaro was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Lazzaro.
Mr. Lazzaro leaves behind his adoring wife, Debbie Lazzaro; his beautiful sons, Mark and Steven Lazzaro; brother, John Lazzaro; sister-in-law, Donna Lazzaro; sister, Francine Campoli; and nieces and nephews, Kira, Carlee, Samantha, and Nicholas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105-9959.
