It is with both heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the passing of Norman "Clay" Hundley, who left this world on March 2, 2025, at the age of 65.
Born on October 21, 1959, in Concord, NC, to the late Norman Hundley and Edith Stough Hundley. Clay lived a life filled with laughter, love, and countless unforgettable moments, especially as the proud owner of Rowan Bar in Kannapolis.
Clay was not just a bar owner; he was a friend to many, a fellow pool shooter, and a generous soul who loved hanging out with friends. His bar was not only a place to grab a drink but a warm gathering spot that resonated with camaraderie and good times. Whether it was sharing stories with regulars or simply enjoying the company of friends, Clay made everyone feel at home.
He leaves behind a loving family, including his beloved daughter, Brandy Hundley, son, Mitchell Hundley, sister, Debbie Page, and his cherished mother, Edith Stough Hundley. He will be sorely missed by his grandchildren, Baylie Travis and husband, Ryan, Boston Heller, Kynnedi Heller, and his great-daughter, Braelyn Travis, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
To honor and celebrate his life, a visitation will be held at Wilkinson Funeral Home on Thursday March 6, 2025, starting at 4:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 6:00 pm.
We invite all of Clay's friends and family to join us as we share stories, laughter, and love in his memory.
Let us remember Clay for his vibrant spirit, his knack for creating memorable moments, and his unwavering friendship. Raise a glass in his honor, share your favorite Clay stories, and celebrate a life well-lived. Because for Clay, life was always best lived among friends.
