On October 23, 2023, the world lost a remarkable soul, Mr. Morris "Dean" Wallace, at the age of 72, peacefully in Concord, NC, surrounded by his loving family. Dean, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, left behind a legacy of love, passion, and cherished memories.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 4th, 2023 from 1pm to 5pm at the home of his daughter, 110 Bluffton Rd, Mooresville. It can be a drop in, for memories of my daddy.
Born in Charlotte, NC, to the late Margaret Emma Rankin Wallace and Edward Billy Wallace, Dean's life was marked by his dedication to his work and his profound love for his family. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald Wallace and Eddie Wallace.
Dean spent many years as a Commercial Water Proofer for various construction companies, demonstrating his commitment to his craft. However, his true joy in life came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He found immense happiness in their presence and treasured every moment shared with them.
One of Dean's greatest passions was working with old cars. He had a deep love for tinkering with vintage cars and trucks, with a special affection for the Corvette that he and his twin brother Gene owned during their younger years. His enthusiasm for automobiles was contagious, and he shared his love for classic cars with everyone around him.
Dean is survived by his daughters, Tina Deery and husband Timothy of Mooresville, NC, and Alicia Herrera of Bartow, Florida ; his brothers, Charles "Gene" Wallace of Bartow, Florida, Billy Wallace, and Curtis Wallace of NC; His sister, Lisa Wallace of NC his grandchildren, Alyssa Deery, Timmy Deery and wife Destiny, Scarlett Deery of NC, Adriana Espinosa, Laura Herrera of Florida; and his great-grandchildren, Farrah Deery of NC, Nevaeh Espinosa, Josefina Espinosa, and Lila Davis of FL. He is also remembered by his niece, Ashley McCrimmon, her husband Jeremy, and their daughter Chasey McCrimmon of Bartow, FL, along with his beloved dog, Lett Lett of FL.
Dean's departure leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him, but his memory will forever remain in the laughter, love, and cherished moments he shared with his family and friends. May his soul find eternal peace and may his legacy of passion and love continue to inspire us all. He will be dearly missed and remembered with profound affection. As my daddy would always say, "keep on keeping on".
