Melanie Troxler

Mrs. Melanie Long Troxler, 54, of Albemarle, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at her Lake Tillery home.

Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Calvary Lutheran Church, officiated by Rev. James Laurence and Rev. John Futterer. The family will greet friends following the service in the church Fellowship Hall.

Melanie was born on March 3, 1970, in Concord, NC, to the late George Joseph Long and Edna Parrish Long. She was a proud graduate of Concord High School, Class of 1988. Known for her vibrant and festive personality, Melanie loved her family, celebrating holidays, and spending time at the lake. Her enthusiasm for Disney World, amusement parks, the NC State Wolfpack, the Miami Dolphins, and her beloved Concord Spiders was infectious. A deeply loving and patriotic woman, she left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Melanie is survived by her husband, Gray Troxler; daughters, Piper Troxler of Badin, NC, and Peyton Troxler of Norwood, NC; son, Andrew Tucker and wife, Chelsie, of Concord; granddaughter, IsaBelle; and other extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
