Maude “Mickey” Victoria Irvin Biggers, lovingly known as Mickey, passed away on April 13, 2024, at her home under the care of Hospice. She was 102 years old.
Mickey was born on February 12, 1922, in Concord, North Carolina, to Jay Lynn and Violet Lee Morris Irvin. She was a devoted member of Central United Methodist Church.
For 26 years, Mickey dedicated herself to serving others as a nurse at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital and Five Oaks Nursing Home. Her compassionate care touched the lives of countless patients and families.
Mickey is preceded in death by her parents, five siblings, and their spouses: Jack Irvin (Flora), David Irvin (Ramelle, Bill Irvin (Ernestine), and Jean Lee. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Lynn Franklin Earnhardt.
She is survived by her daughters Linda Earnhardt (Gene), Kathy McDonald (Rick), and Marie Hamelin. Mickey was a beloved grandmother to Jackson Hamelin, Sam Hamelin, Jason Earnhardt (Mandy), and Annmarie Earnhardt (Ean). She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Asher Earnhardt and Sailor Earnhardt. Mickey is survived by her sister, Betty Rose Walker (Gene), and numerous nephews and nieces.
Mickey’s kindness, generosity, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday April 16th at 3pm in the chapel of Wilkinson Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Latimer officiating. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home from 2-3 prior to the Celebration of Life.
Pallbearers are Mori Irvin, Frank Irvin, Jeff Irvin, Dale Irvin, Sonny Lipe, and Daniel Wilson.
