Mrs. Mary Frances Whitley Kiker Strube, age 85 of Concord, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 6 from 10:30 am to 12 pm at Eva Drive Baptist Church. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 12 pm with Pastor Keith Navey officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
Frances was born August 12, 1936 in Cabarrus County and was a daughter of the late Relas Addison Whitley and Osie Kiker Whitley. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Rodney Mack Kiker and Ralph Neal Strube, Jr.; a daughter, Rhonda Hylton; sisters, Jennie Mae Kiker and Barbara Cox; brothers, Rayford and R.W. Whitley; and stepdaughter, Janice Kerley.
Frances was a longtime active member of Eva Drive Baptist Church. She loved going to church and fellowship with her friends. In addition to church, her family was everything, and Frances just loved spending time with them, especially the next generations. She was always up for a good meal out, or she was content being home working crossword puzzles and watching old westerns. Frances was the best mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend anybody could have, and she will be sorely missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Debbie Lambert, Pat Bebber and Rebecca Fleming; son, Michael Kiker and wife, Sue; stepdaughter, Julie Strube; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and one on the way; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eva Drive Baptist Church, 2390 Eva Drive NW, Concord, NC 28027 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
