Martin Perry Gray

March 3, 1953 — March 11, 2017

Mr. Martin Perry Gray, age 64 passed away peacefully Saturday morning March 11, 2017 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Miami Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 with Pastors Robert Howard and Lewis Whittington officiating. Burial will be held in the church cemetery.

Perry was born March 3, 1953 in Cabarrus County, a son of the late Roosevelt Greer Gray and Minnie Katherine Starnes Gray.

Perry was a self-employed roofer for many years and was a longtime member of Miami Baptist Church. He loved to fish, especially for carp. He has fished many carp lakes and entered tournaments as well. Perry was a good man who loved his family and church and he will certainly be missed.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Lucy Sloop Gray; daughters, Teresa Gray Wilder and husband, Archie and Gina Gray; son, Mark Gray; granddaughter, Heather Pullum; sisters, Judy Solomon and husband, Skip and Linda Lowder and husband, Rick; brothers, Randy Gray and wife, Diane, Gerald Gray and wife, Anita and Rick Gray and wife, Angela; special niece and caregiver, Allison Rice; numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Miami Baptist Church, 6701 Miami Church Road, Concord, NC 28025 or to Levine & Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078.
