His laugh, his smile, his loyalty, his warm fuzzy heart-our son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend, Mark Morrison, lost his ten year battle with opiates on the morning of December 17, 2016.
Born December 1, 1985, Mark grew up in Harrisburg and graduated from Central Cabarrus High School. He loved music, was a passionate drummer, loved cars and was a member of the Central Cabarrus High School drumline and part of the percussion for the Marching Vikings. He attended CPCC for auto mechanics and was known for his knowledge of Hondas and music equipment.
His wit made us laugh and while he always had strong opinions, he let you have yours too. He was a wild and crazy friend to many and he always wanted to help out those who needed him. Mark wanted to be there for those he loved and it didn’t matter what time of day or night, he always had a listening ear for those who needed to talk. We find comfort knowing that he is in a better place where he is at peace and we will be forever grateful to his many friends, present and past, who loved him.
He is survived by his parents, Deatry Bost Morrison and Ross (Kinny) McKinnon Morrison III, of Harrisburg and his sister, Melissa Morrison of Orinda, CA and his aunts, uncles and cousins of Concord.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 21st at Wilkinson Funeral Home and the funeral will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 22nd at Rocky River Presbyterian Church, 7940 Rocky River Road, Concord, NC.
Those that wish to may contribute in his memory to the Cemetery Fund of Rocky River Presbyterian Church. He was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
