Margaret Hall

Mrs. Margaret Judith "Judy" Hopper Hall, age 81 of Concord passed away on Thursday December 12, 2024 at Tucker Hospice House, following a short illness.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday December 15th at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Wilkinson Funeral Home, with Rev. Buster Pigg officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home until 4:30 pm.

Judy was born September 3, 1943 in Mecklenburg County to Webb C. Hopper and Jessie "Eleanor" Parks Hopper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shannon Ewing, a sister, Sherrill Curley and brother, Gene Hopper.

Judy will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, and friend. She had a smile and a kind word for everyone she met. Judy spent 56 years of her life serving as a pastor's wife to her husband, Ed. During this time, she served in many facets of the church when needed, including being called alongside her husband to serve as missionaries in Germany for 4 years. She also loved singing in the choir and cooking her famous fried chicken and baked goods. Judy loved spending her free time watching sports with her family, shopping with her daughters, and traveling with her husband.

Those loved ones left to cherish Judy's memory are her husband of 62 years, Reverend Ed Hall, Sr.; daughters, Sissy Newsome and husband, Jeff, Donna Murphy and husband, Steven, and Stephanie Westervelt and husband, Drew; son, Jim Hall and wife, Shannon; grandchildren, Meredith Hall and Christopher Kluttz.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081 or to Bethlehem Baptist Church, 42 Liske Avenue NW, Concord, NC 28027.
