Lydia Leona Garcia, 72, Went home to be with The Lord on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at W.G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm, Thursday, January 7th, 2016 at Wilkinson Funeral Home.
Lydia was born on July 11, 1943 in New York to Manuel Garcia and Yolanda Zenone Garcia. She is preceded in death by her father, Manuel Garcia and step mother, Mary Garsha; mother, Yolanda Zenone Garcia; sister, Norma Nicolette.
Lydia has an undying devotion to her family along with being a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. She loved her family passionately and would brighten anyone’s day or lift their spirits if they were down. The arts were a big part of her life, where she enjoyed singing, painting, poetry, playing the piano and guitar.
She is survived by her son, Joe Rosina; daughter, Mary Ann Clark; sister, Nancy Crain; grandchildren, Zachary, Isabella, Gianna Clark.
