Lowell Mason Ferguson, Jr. 65 of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Thursday February 4, 2016 at Tucker Hospice House.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Wilkinson Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Buck Canup officiating. Burial will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens.
Lowell was born on June 18, 1950 in Cabarrus County to Nell Kennedy Ferguson of Concord and the late Lowell Mason Ferguson, Sr.
Along with his mother, he is survived by his wife of 46 years, Vicki S. Ferguson, two sons, Chris Ferguson and wife, Jeanna, and Ray Ferguson and wife, Natalie both of Mt. Pleasant; one sister, Vickie F. Kee and husband, Walter of Mt. Pleasant; three granddaughters, Mary Margaret Ferguson, Kirsten Ferguson, Katelynn Ferguson and one grandson, Mason Clay Ferguson, along with many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Ferguson previously worked for Sossamon Hosiery Mill. He retired from Wilkinson Funeral Home. Lowell was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors, trips to the beach and spending time with his family.
