Lisa Hopkins

September 22, 1962 — September 23, 2017

Lisa Alsop Hopkins, age 55 of Concord, NC, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017. She was born to CW4 David R. Alsop and Joyce Marie Easley Alsop on September 22, 1962. Lisa attended schools from California to North Carolina and in Germany, being a daughter of a Military man. Lisa enjoyed getting to know others and making new friends. Her heart was always in servitude of others. She waitressed for many years in several restaurants and her last job was in the employ of an elderly couple whom she took care of with the same compassion and love she had for her own family.

Family and friends were Lisa’s passion and delight. Being a part of a Military family, Lisa grew up on the move. As she traveled around the world, she made many friends along the way, and the hardest thing for her was to lose touch with them. Married twice, her first marriage resulted in the births of Christopher Clark, and Stephanie Clark, the first two real loves in her life, and later in life she found her soul mate in Dewitt “Buddy” Hopkins and enjoyed a twenty year loving relationship.

Lisa is survived by her husband Dewitt “Buddy” Hopkins of Concord, her children Christopher Clark of Concord and Stephanie Clark-Russell with husband Rick of Texas. Her grandson’s Adian and Ryder, Her father CW4 David R. Alsop of Florida and her brother, David R. Alsop II and his wife Gwendolyn of Charlotte. Her mother Joyce Marie Easley Alsop preceded her in June of 1987. She is also survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces, and plenty of folks who felt her loving touch over the years.

Lisa’s family requested per her wishes a small ceremony to be held by family and close friends, and it is the family’s desire that if you wish to make a contribution, in lieu of flowers or cards, make a donation to any charity that provides care and love for people and animals alike. The same to be said of anyone who over the years have felt touched by Lisa’s testimony. A lovely woman, Mother, daughter, sister, and so much more, she will be truly missed.
