Mr. Lewis “Buster” Herman Moore, Jr. of Concord and formerly of Richmond, VA passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Atrium Health Cabarrus.
His funeral will be 2 pm Sunday, January 30 at the Media Center of Charlotte Motor Speedway. The family will receive friends 4 to 6 pm Saturday, January 29 at Wilkinson Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
Buster was born June 11, 1958 in Richmond, VA to the late Lewis Herman Moore and Lucille Frances Dunn Moore. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Krystle Moore, and siblings.
He attended Meadowbrook High School, Chesterfield County, VA and married Vickie Lynn Yandle on April 14, 1979. Buster worked for Phillip Morris in Richmond and retired from Phillip Morris in Concord, NC. Buster later worked for Harris Mustang of Charlotte and Charlotte Motor Speedway where he was named Employee of the Year in 2021. The loves of his life were his wife, Vickie, late daughter, Krystle, and his dogs, Sammy and Susie.
Buster was a car enthusiast and loved helping people. He organized the Blue Oval Classic Car Show benefitting the Dove House. Buster was a musician, and singer who loved Bluegrass music. Buster had a big heart, never met a stranger, was witty, and was quick to put a smile on your face. He simply loved life!!
Buster is survived by his wife, Vickie Moore; brother, Gordon Moore; sister, Maureen Moore; niece, Abbie M. Ford; his dogs Sammy and Susie, and hundreds of close personal friends.
