Larry Shaver, Jr.

With heavy hearts, we announce the untimely passing of Larry Wayne Shaver Jr. age, 55 of Concord and a beloved son, husband, father and papaw, on Saturday January 11, 2025.

The family will have a Celebration of Life at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Concord on Tuesday, January 14th with visitation from 1-3pm and service to follow at 3pm led by Pastor Bob Tallent.

Larry enjoyed his work as facilities manager with Carolina Country Weddings. He was a selfless husband, father and papaw who loved spending time hunting and fishing. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife and soulmate, Kelly. Larry will truly be missed by all those who knew him. He made an even bigger impact on this world after his death by being a Life Share Donor, saving countless lives.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Larry Shaver, Sr. and sister-in-law, Kitsie Shaver. He leaves behind his soulmate of 32 years, Kelly Cruse Shaver of Concord; his mother Lois Paxton Shaver of Concord; his brother Doyle of Concord; son, Andrew High and his wife Samantha of Kannapolis, and son, Brandon Shaver and his wife Rosa of Mt. Pleasant, NC; daughter, Kaitlyn Shaver of Concord; grandsons, Graisen (13), Waylon (6), Maverick (4), and Carter (1). He also leaves behind many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to be made in Larry's name to Gethsemane Baptist Church, 480 Lloyd Garmon Lane, Concord, NC 28025.
