Larry Allman

Mr. Larry James Allman passed away at his home Saturday December 14, 2024.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday January 11, 2025 at Ann Street United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Alan Thompson and Rev. Randy Wall. The family will receive friends following the service.

Larry was born February 5, 1940 in Concord to the late Roy Hunter Allman and Goldia Cheek Allman. He was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, 1 brother, and 2 stepchildren Kim Griffin and Scott Hagler.

Larry retired from the Charlotte Police Department and was the Maintenance Supervisor for Five Oaks Manor. He enjoyed doing yard work, going out to eat, and watching sports. Larry and Rebecca dated while in high school, but later lost contact for 20 years. They later reconnected after this time.

Larry is survived by his wife of 40 years Rebecca Cooke Allman; canine companion Mason; step granddaughter Jada Griffin; and a number of extended family members. Larry will be greatly missed by family and friends.
