It is with great sadness that Mr. Kent Anderson Cundiff, 59, passed peacefully in his home on Monday, December 10, 2018.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 pm, on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:30 pm prior to the service.
Kent Cundiff, known to friends as “KC”, was born on March 16, 1959 in Forsyth Co. to the late Alvin B. and Lorraine Anderson Cundiff.
Kent worked for Duke Energy as a Senior Systems Coordinator for 33 years, he loved his job and the people he worked with.
KC was a good-hearted, simple man who’d never met a stranger. His sense of humor and jokes could leave a room full of laughter. Kent enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a diehard Patriots fan and loved watching football games, taking trips on his motorcycle, going to concerts, playing the drums, and fishing, although he was never too good at it. Whenever he was able to have a good time with the people he loved, nothing else mattered.
Christmas was his favorite time of year, especially when it snowed. We will forever think of him when Burl Ives “Holly Jolly Christmas” plays on the radio.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn B. Cundiff; daughter, Amanda Solomon and husband, Jay; son, Jeremy R. Cundiff and wife, Grace; grandson, Brayden R. Cundiff.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saluda Presbyterian Church-Guatemala Scholarship Fund, PO Box 638, Saluda NC 28773.
