Mrs. Ambrosini, age 98, passed away June 3, 2019 at St. Andrews Assisted Living Center of natural causes.
A funeral mass will be held at 3 p.m. Friday June 7, 2019 at St. James the Greater Catholic Church with Father Jerome Chavarria, CSsR officiating. Interment will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery. No formal visitation will be held.
Mrs. Ambrosini was born in Akron, Ohio on May 7, 1921, the daughter of the late Edmund H. Cole and Pearle A. Schueler Cole. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward on June 20, 2011 after 65 years of marriage. In addition, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Bette Smith, Ruth Flere, and brothers, Fred, Arthur, and twins, Sammy and Eddie Cole.
Surviving are her son, Jerome Ambrosini and wife, Debra of St. Augustine, FL; son, Stephen Ambrosini and wife, Lois of Concord; granddaughters,, Gina (husband, Bob Callaway) of Holly Springs, NC, Leslie (husband, Chris Summer) of Harrisburg, NC, grandson, Dale (wife, Maria) of Charlotte; and step-grandsons, Wayne and Jeffrey Theroux of Fremont, CA. She also leaves great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ambrosini was a graduate of St. Vincent’s High School in Akron and attended Notre Dame College in South Euclid, OH. She was formerly a resident of New Haven, IN and retired from Lincoln Life Insurance Company in Fort Wayne, IN. She also had a brief career with Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in Akron. While in New Haven, IN, she was active in the religious education program at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for many years, as well as volunteering for various administration duties for the parish. She relocated to Concord in 1998 and was an active member of St. James the Greater Catholic Church. She was devoted to her husband and family.
Of particular note is the wonderful care given to her in her final years at St. Andrews Assisted Living Center. Our family’s deepest gratitude and un-repayable debt goes out to this unparalleled facility and all who took such good care of her there. Her association with this excellent facility was truly a Godsend.
Thanks is also warranted for the stellar care given by Community Home Care and Hospice. Their expertise was only matched by their caring and professionalism.
