Mrs. Karen Lynn (Babcock) Hall, 56, of Concord, lost her battle with breast cancer on Sunday, September 17, 2017.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 33 years, Scott; her children, Jennifer, Kristin (Jay) and Daniel (Brittany). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Grace, Weston, and two foster grandchildren.
Karen will be dearly missed by her siblings, Gloria Donichy (CA), Donald Snow (NY), Mark Snow (Jean) (NY), Sharon Armsby (Tim) (TN), Danny Babcock(AZ), and very special sister-in-law, Sharon Snow(NY), and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her father-in-law, Raymond Hall.
Karen was predeceased by her mother, Marguerite Babcock and father, Daniel Babcock. Karen is also survived by four special friends that have always been like family to her; The Gales, The Wilmots, Doug Christiansen, and The Jewetts.
Karen shared fond memories of growing up in upstate New York and San Diego, CA. She was a selfless and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Karen was always known to have a pot of coffee on and friends and family around her dinner table. She was also known to be a second mom to many. Karen will forever be remembered by her witty sense of humor and telling it like she saw it.
Friends and family will be received at Wilkinson Funeral Home in Concord, NC on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral services will be at Mt Olivet UMC in Kannapolis on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, Karen requested that donations be made to Grace and Weston’s college fund at the State Employee’s Credit Union.
