Judy Mullinax

CONCORD- Judy Frye Mullinax, 79, passed away at Atrium Cabarrus Healthcare on April 17, 2025.

A private graveside service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Josh Kurtz officiating.

On October 26, 1945, Judy was born in Cabarrus County.  She was one of seven children born to Ray Leonard and Iona Beulah Lee Frye.  She graduated from Concord High School.  On January 3, 1970, she married Dean Mullinax.  Her and Dean have shared 55 happy years together.  Judy and Dean were avid mall walkers at Carolina Mall where they made laps nearly everyday.  She loved shopping and had an appreciation for ladies fashion and accessories.  Her and Dean held a special place in their hearts for their nieces and nephews.  She loved being at home and was very much a homebody.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Jerry Frye, Leonard Frye(Terri), Dr. Bill Frye PhD, and brother-in-law, Terry Earnhardt.

Mrs. Mullinax is survived by her husband. R. Dean Mullinax; sisters, Betty F. Lapish(Richard) of Concord, Linda F. Earnhardt of Concord, brother, Kenny Frye(Pam) of Concord; sisters-in-law, Pat Frye of Missouri and Diane Frye of Florida; and special nieces and nephews.
