Mrs. Juanita Blackwelder Stough, age 84, passed away peacefully in her sleep Thursday, September 21, 2017.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3pm Sunday, September 24 at Wilkinson Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow in the chapel at 3pm. Dr. Marty Payton and Pastor Benny Creed will officiate. Burial will be held at Carolina Memorial Park.
Mrs. Stough was born October 6, 1932 in Cabarrus County, a daughter of the late James Alfred and Willie Agnes Blackwelder. She was a member of Charity Baptist Church in Kannapolis and family was a big priority to her. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who took care of everybody.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Diane Poe, Gary Stough and wife, Michele, Cindy Paxton and husband, Mike and Debbie Holder and husband, Darrell, all of Concord; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Howard “Gene” Blackwelder of Alabama and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Juanita’s son-in-law, Mike Paxton for his loving care.
Pallbearers for the service include grandsons, Chad Barbee, Todd Barbee, Marty Paxton, Brandon Blackwelder, Cameron Blackwelder, Chase Barbee, Chandler Seamon, Austin Paxton, Colton Barbee and Jacob Stough.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
