Juanita Almond

Mrs. Juanita Love Almond, 93, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Morningview Assisted Living in Greensboro, NC.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Parkwood Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Michael Waters, with burial to follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10-11 prior to the service.

Juanita was born on January 4, 1929 in Union Co. to the late Charles Grady Love and Grace Deese Love. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Olen Barbee “Bob” Almond; son, Mike Almond; sisters, Bonnie Barbee, Betty Maxwell.

Juanita is a longtime member of Parkwood Baptist Church where she served on many different capacities over the years. She had retired from Collins & Aikman after 28 years.

Mom had an infectious smile, laugh and giggle. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, wife and friend. She will be sorely missed.

She is survived by her sons, Kelly Almond of Reidsville, Jeff Almond of Raleigh, Doug Almond of Pine Hall, NC; sister, Louise Lowder of Oakboro; grandchildren, Shelly Mills of Concord, Joe Almond of Concord, Mathew Almond of Salisbury, NC, Chandler Almond of San Diego, Noah Almond of Raleigh, Ezekiel Almond of US Navy; Numerous great grandchildren.
