CONCORD- Joyce Ann Fink Cook passed away at CHS NorthEast on June 15, 2017.
She fought a good fight with cancer. She didn’t lose the battle, she won the prize. She went to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and savior, her son, and kin people.
Funeral services will be 2pm Saturday at Kannapolis West “A” Church of God with Rev. Greg Sloop and Barbara Watkins officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 to 2pm at the church.
Joyce was born in Cabarrus County on January 29, 1944. She was one of thirteen children born to Ode and Eva Cagle Fink. She was a member of Kannapolis Church of God and enjoyed gardening and fishing. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Arlen Wayne Cook; her parents; two brothers, and five of her sisters.
Mrs. Cook is survived by her husband of 56 years, Richard A. Cook; daughter, Wanda Cook; son, Richard Cook III; five sisters, Hattie Crisco, Caroline Burris, Bernice Burleson, Loucille Plott, and Velma Turner; nieces, nephews and many other loving relatives and friends.
