Joseph William Iii Varnadore

Mr. Joseph “Joe” William Varnadore III of Old Airport Road, passed away Monday, November 28, 2016 at Tucker Hospice House.
A service to celebrate Joe’s life will be 2 PM Wednesday at Calvary Lutheran Church officiated by Rev. Deborah Frye. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon in the church Fellowship Hall.
Joe was born January 16, 1939 in Lancaster, SC to the late Joseph W. Varnadore, Jr. and Carrie Lucille Bass Varnadore. He graduated from Concord High School in 1957 and later owned and operated Buffalo Apparatus Service with his son. Joe was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church where he served on the Church Council, the Evangelical Committee, and as Head Usher. He was also a 32nd degree Shriner.
Joe is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shelby Russ Varnadore; son, Mark Varnadore and wife Pam, and grandchildren, Carly and Cody Varnadore, all of Concord. The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Steffens and his staff, Hospice House, Jennifer Moose, and Luan Dobbs for all their care and support during Joe's illness.
