Jonathan Taylor

Mr. Jonathan "Jon" Patrick Taylor passed away Friday, December 27, 2024, with family and friends by his side, at his home in Salisbury.

The family will receive friends 2:00 PM Friday at Wilkinson Funeral Home with a service at 3:00 PM officiated by Pastor Randy Laughter.

A loving father, son, husband, brother, and friend, Jonathan was born August 31, 1979 in Concord, NC to Wanda Weiss and the late Jon Eric Taylor.

Jon enjoyed travelling, whether Europe or the Caribbean Islands. These experiences led him to develop a deep love of cooking and fueled his passion for history.

He graduated from NorthWest Cabarrus High School, Class of 1997, and then with honors as Summa Cum Laude from East Carolina University in 2018 proudly brandishing dual degrees in History and Anthropology.

Jon later supported his family with his skills as a carpenter.

Jon is survived by his wife Mandie Lynn Taylor; children Sapphire Rayne and Donald "Donny"; brothers Anthony Weiss, Nathan and Shawn Taylor; mothers Wanda Weiss and Dena Taylor; and other extended family members.
