Johnny Fletcher

Mr. Johnny Lee Fletcher of Concord passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Atrium Health Cabarrus.

A visitation will be held Sunday afternoon, June 30th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Wilkinson Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be on Monday, July 1st at Oakwood Cemetery.

Johnny was born August 3, 1941 in Concord to the late James O. Fletcher, Jr and Ruth Hartsell Fletcher. He was also preceded in death by his great-grandson, Emerson Wade Dobbins.

Johnny graduated from Concord High School, Class of 1959, Johnny served in the U.S. Army 1959-1962 in the Army Security Agency as a code copier in Ethiopia. He was educated at the Univ. of Maryland and the Univ. of Georgia. Johnny married Judy Myers in 1964 and was a real estate developer. He served as President for the N.C. Jaycees and was a Clayton Frost Memorial winner.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Judy M. Fletcher; sons, Chris Fletcher and wife Jacquie, and Rich Fletcher; granddaughters, Savannah (Chandler) Griffith, Kelsey (Trevor) Dobbins, and MacKenzie (Adam) Glasser; great-granddaughter, Maren Griffith; brother, Tom Fletcher and wife, Libby.
