Mrs. Joanne Prince Webster, age 89, passed away March 4, 2016 at her home.
Joanne was born October 6, 1926 in Loris, SC to the late Charles D. and Alston Hickman Prince. Graduating with honors from Coker College, she received her Master’s Degree in Education from the University of South Carolina. Joanne taught at Central Cabarrus High School until her retirement.
Joanne remained active in First Baptist Church of Concord for over 50 years, as long as her health permitted. She held numerous state and local offices in her beloved sorority, Alpha Delta Kappa, generating wonderful friendships and many fond memories. An avid bridge player, she enjoyed fellowship with those in her various clubs. She was predeceased by her husband, Park E. Webster and sister, Jean Prince Webster. She was committed to serve her Lord, her family and friends.
Joanne is survived by her daughters, Charli Webster McLeod of Concord and Myrtle Beach, SC, Jo Webster McCall and husband, Ken of Wilmington, NC and Kathy Park Webster of the home; grandchildren, Dr. Lisa McCall Dinkins and husband, Matt of Monroe, NC, Dr. Katie McCall Evans and husband, Shawn of Raleigh, NC, Staff Sergeant USAF Will McLeod and wife, Kelley of Little Rock, AR, Dr. Whitney Webster McLeod of Tucson, AZ and Matthew McLeod and wife, Krissie of Kannapolis,; great grandchildren, Haley, McKenzie, Parker, Caroline Joanne and Melody McLeod, Adam Dinkins, Paul Evans and Snickers; sisters-in-law, Rose Webster and Laurette Metelsky; brother-in-law ,Billy Webster and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 7 at Wilkinson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 8 at First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Tom Anderson and Rev. Matt Dinkins. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
