Joan Hite

Joan Ellen Waddell Hite was born March 16, 1933, and passed away on February 18, 2025 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC. She was 91. She was born and raised in Beckley, WV and has lived in Concord, NC since 2005.

Joan is the daughter of the late Roscoe and Germaine Waddell. She is also preceded in death by her two sisters, Evelyn Gilkeson and Ethel Walney along with her three brothers, Richard Waddell, Bobby Waddell and Stanley Waddell.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Hite, and her sons Vincent Hite and Christian Hite; two grandchildren, Bryan Hite (Elizabeth) and Brittaney Hite and two great grandchildren, Mason Hite and Arian Hite.

She had a passion for doing crossword puzzle's, watching Jeopardy and watching any crime shows. Always said her greatest accomplishment in life was having her children. She was always willing to help others.

A graveside service will be held on Friday February 21, 2025 at 11am at Carolina Memorial Park Cemetery.
